​A Vana Mahotsava was organized in some villages in Chintamani Taluka of Chickaballapura District on Saturday, September 23, 2021.
 
Dr Nadadur, Smt Janaki Nadadur and Smt Hema Rajan from EAB, Smt Usha Shetty and her team from Gramaantara Trust and Smt Janet Yegneswaran and her team from Reforest India jointly organized this event.
 
In the event, 25 farmers, spread over 5 villages, were covered. As many as 150 saplings were planted in the fields of farmers.
 
The saplings belonged to the following varieties – sitaphal, ramphal, coconut, amla, jamun, star-fruit, sapota and  guava.  All these varieties of saplings were distributed as requested by the farmers during a preliminary field visit and survey by the Gramaantara Trust team.  The farmers  have agreed to take good care of the saplings and nurture them.

Dr Nadadur, Smt Janaki Nadadur and Smt Hema Rajan from EAB, Smt Usha Shetty and her team from Gramaantara Trust and Smt Janet Yegneswaran and her team from Reforest India jointly organized this event.
 
In the event, 5 farmers and 2 government schools, spread over 7 villages, were covered. As many as 85 saplings were planted in the fields of farmers and in the school grounds.
 
The saplings belonged to the following varieties – sitaphal, ramphal, coconut, amla, jamun, star-fruit, sapota and  guava.  All these varieties of saplings were distributed as requested by the farmers during a preliminary field visit and survey by the Gramaantara Trust team.  The farmers and school authorities have agreed to take good care of the saplings and nurture them.
