A visit was undertaken to see the health and well-being of the plants that had been planted under the Namma Thota Project. Dr Nadadur, Sri Laksh Kumar and Sri Nawin of EAB and Smt Ananthalakshmi of Gramaantara Trust went on this visit.
It was observed that the plants were growing well. It was also very satisfying to know that spinach had already been harvested and was being added to the mid day meals on a regular basis. The students were very happy with their vegetables. They said that the quality of their mid day meal had improved tremendously after the project was launched. They also wanted some other vegetables, especially, potatoes, beetroot, cauliflower and cabbage to be planted in their garden. It was agreed that the required seeds would be supplied to them.

Dr R G Nadadur received an invitation from the Dharani International School in Vasudevanallur, Tamil Nadu. On his request, Smt Usha Shetty of Gramaantara Trust agreed to go along with him.
The two of them spent two full days with the students and teachers of the school and discussed various subjects. Career guidance was an important topic. However, there were other topics including the school education scenario in the post Covid era. It was a very rewarding and extremely satisfying experience for Dr Nadadur and Smt Shetty. There was a Valedictory Session on the final day. The students and teachers and management representatives expressed their great happiness at the sessions that they attended. Some students in Devanahalli, Vijayapura, Shidlaghatta, Chickaballapura and some other places are very keen on entering the civil services and the defence services. However, they do not have the means to enrol in a coaching institute.
These students requested Smt Usha Shetty to arrange for some caching for them. After a discussion, Smt Usha Shetty and Dr R G Nadadur agreed to coach and mentor students for the competitive examinations. Some coaching sessions are held in person and others are held online. An in person session was held in Vijayapura. The five students, who were present, asked many questions. Dr Nadadur and Smt Shetty answered them. The students were advised to be in regular contact and ask questions and seek guidance at any time. |
