A visit was undertaken to see the health and well-being of the plants that had been planted under the Namma Thota Project. Dr Nadadur, Sri Laksh Kumar and Sri Nawin of EAB and Smt Ananthalakshmi of Gramaantara Trust went on this visit.
It was observed that the plants were growing well. It was also very satisfying to know that spinach had already been harvested and was being added to the mid day meals on a regular basis. The students were very happy with their vegetables. They said that the quality of their mid day meal had improved tremendously after the project was launched. They also wanted some other vegetables, especially, potatoes, beetroot, cauliflower and cabbage to be planted in their garden. It was agreed that the required seeds would be supplied to them. |
