Environment Association of Bangalore, in partnership with Gramaantara Trust, wound up their activities for the year 2022 with a fun filled educational tour for students of the Government Urdu High School, Shidlaghatta.
The day began early for the students. They gathered in their school. Then, 50 of them along with 5 teachers, and Nawin, EAB Co-ordinator, traveled to Bengaluru. Their first stop was the Viswesvarayya technological Museum. The students saw the exhibits with great enthusiasm and had several questions for their teachers and Nawin.
After spending two hours in the Museum, the students travelled to Lal Bagh. They were received there by Dr R G Nadadur, President; Dr K Ganeshraj, Vice President; Smt Sujatha, Director; and Sri Laksh Kumar, Director. The group was joined by Dr D L Maheswar, former Vice Chancellor of the Karnataka Horticulture University and former Vice President of EAB. Dr Maheswar and a team of officers from the Karnataka Horticulture Department took the students around Lal Bagh and pointed out some amazing facts to them. The students were enthralled after seeing the trees, plants and shrubs and hearing about them from the experts.
The students were very tired but happy and excited when their tour ended in Shidlaghatta in the evening.
