Environment Association of Bangalore and Gramanthara Trust Joint Program

​Three office-bearers of EAB – Dr R G Nadadur, President, Sri C V Thirumalarao, Director and Sri V Bhaskar, Secretary – joined Smt. Usha Shetty, Managing Trustee of the Gramanthara Trust, in three events on November 12, 2020.
 
The details of the three events are –

1. Tree planting. Coconut saplings had been arranged by Smt Janet Yegneswaran, Managing Trustee of the Trees for Free organization. She and the rest of us jointly distributed the saplings to small and marginal farmers in the Peresandra area of Chickaballapura taluka.
2. Reconnaissance of a school in Darbur, also in Chickballapura taluka. The requirements of class rooms, toilets and playground were assessed and discussions were held as to how they could be provided. There were also interactions with some teachers.
3. Painting of a school in Venkatapura in Gauribidanur Taluka. There was also a lively interaction with some students and teachers who were present.

 
It was a full day program and very enjoyable for the EAB team. It is planned to take up similar joint programs in the coming weeks and months.
